A trundle bed is a type of bed that is build on rollers to make it go underneath another bed or a furniture fragment. One is a conventional bed, but the frame resembles a huge drawer, which carries the other bed. The trundle bed is a bed-within-a-bed.
Trundle beds get their name from the trundles, another name for casters that are used to move them back and forth.
